If you received notice, your rights may be affected by the proposed settlement (“Settlement”) as discussed in the court-authorized Notice (“Notice”). The Notice and this website is to inform you of the conditional certification of a Settlement class, the nature of the claims at issue, your right to participate in, or exclude yourself from the Settlement class, and the effect of exercising your various options.
Your Legal Rights and Options in this Settlement | |
Do nothing | To accept the Settlement, you do not need to do anything. If you received the Notice , you are currently considered a member of the Settlement Class and will continue to be unless you exclude yourself from the Settlement. You will be bound by the judgment, and you will release claims against Defendant described in FAQ 8. |
Exclude yourself | You may exclude yourself from the Settlement. If you do so, you will not receive any payment. You will not be part of the class and will not release any claims you may have against Defendant and the Released Parties. |
Object or Comment | If you wish to object to the Settlement, you must submit your objection in writing, following the instructions outlined in FAQ 6. |
Attend the Hearing | You may appear at the Final Approval Hearing on your own behalf or through counsel. |
These rights and options—and the deadlines to exercise them—are explained further on the Notice and FAQs page.
The Court in charge of this case still has to decide whether to approve the Settlement.
